The wedding couple is the only client the day of the wedding, and their guests and vendors will be the only guests allowed on the property from 9 am until the conclusion of the reception. Haak Vineyards' guests will not be allowed outside of the tasting room. There will be no other rentals or event functions the day of the wedding. A minimum of 25 guests to a maximum of 225 guests can be accommodated. Saturday weddings are reserved for 100 guests or more, Monday - Friday and Sunday weddings for 75 guests or more.
The bridal and groom's dressing areas are available at 9 am the day of your wedding and must be cleaned by the conclusion of your reception.
Our event staff will set the 5-foot round tables with 8 guests per table for guest dining, and the 6-foot rectangular tables will be used for all other services (gifts, wine, etc.).
The winery offers a wide variety of colors and fabric choices. We will provide the table cloths, chair covers, sashes and napkins with all wedding packages. Additional linens such as table runners, overlays or extra sashes for decoration purposes may be ordered upon request for an additional charge.
The Haak Winery Events Team are not wedding planners and will not act as such.
Yes you may serve other adult beverages through our bartending services with wedding package rentals. A separate contract is required if cocktails and/or beer are to be consumed on premises. There are service fees related and a fee per quest will be charged for open bar.
If bartending and/or beer services are not contracted with the winery for your event any guest found in possession of other liquor or beer will be asked to surrender substance to event manager on duty until the conclusion of your event.
Any one with a bottle of non-Haak wine will be asked to surrender it to the event manager on duty until the conclusion of the event. If the guest is not cooperative, he or she may be asked to leave the winery property.
What do we need to provide with the beer service? When can the beer be delivered and picked up?
Beer may be served in keg form. You're required to provide and deliver the keg(s) in barrels with necessary tap equipment. Haak will furnish a TABC certified server, ice and cups for the beer. The keg(s) may be delivered when someone from your wedding party or family is present at the property as Haak cannot take possession of the kegs. The bridal dressing room does not qualify as Haak property. The keg(s) and tap(s) must be picked up and removed at the contracted conclusion of your reception.
Adult beverages not be consumed in the parking lot. Only wine may be consumed in the tasting room.
There are no decorations provided. Persons decorating for a wedding have full access to the property for decorating purposes starting at 9 am the day of the wedding. If decorating requires more set up time, an appointment must be made through the Haak Vineyards and Winery Events Team at least ten days prior to the event.
The only decorations prohibited are:
Client may contract a professional company to decorate our property but the client may not self-decorate with elevated decorations that require more than an 8 foot ladder. Otherwise, all elevated decorations must be hung and taken down by our staff. An additional fee of $150 for the first hour and $50 per hour after that will be charged for the service. Client must communicate that these services are required no later than at the client's 15 day meeting as stipulated in our contract.
You are responsible for the cleanup of all decorations that you plan to keep, and it must be completed one hour after the conclusion of your reception.
Haak Winery does not allow any outside food, beverages or outside catering on the property.
The chef staff will discuss all catering options with you including vegetarian, vegan, food allergies and children's options.
The pricing reflected in our wedding package is for a buffet service.
Basic wedding cakes with one hour complimentary decorating and cutting service are provided by chef staff buffet style. All guest serving supplies are provided for with rental packages selected.
The couple has access to the property for a 1 ½ hour rehearsal to be scheduled with our Events Coordinator, Monday through Thursday, in the weeks prior to the wedding.
Only Haak wine may be served as your alcoholic beverage at the rehearsal dinner.
The $1,000 deposit is your $500 damage deposit and your $500 catering deposit. Following your event, our comptroller will balance all charges and payments and issue a check refund for the $500 damage deposit if satisfied that all invoicing has been paid. The catering deposit goes directly toward your final total catering bill. The $1,000 deposit, along with your signed contract, secures your date at our venue.
Deposit will not be refunded should you cancel your event.
Haak Winery does not have a sound system in the chapel or on our pavilion. However, there is an ample supply of power on the pavilion and patio, and you may contract with a performer for your event. Our Event Managers will discuss the sound level (decibels) regulations imposed by the TABC with your contracted performer.
Music must end at 10 pm on Friday and Saturday evenings, and 9:30 pm Sunday through Thursday evenings.
Haak Winery does not require guests to use a preferred vendor list. We can offer a list of vendors that have provided services for previous events, if needed.
The property will be available for wedding set up at 9 am the day of the wedding. We ask that vendors make arrangements for drop-offs and pick-ups through one of the Event Managers.
