2013 Madeira Blanc du Bois Wins Gold and Award of Excellence from TEXSOM
We are very proud of our 2013 Madeira Blanc du Bois. It not only won a Gold Medal in the 2016 TEXSOM International Wine Competition, it was awarded a new honor called an Award of Excellence.
In addition to the Bronze, Silver, and Gold medals, TEXSOM International Wine Awards introduced the Awards of Excellence categories this year. Wines selected for Awards of Excellence consideration were nominated within specific categories by the competition judging panels. They instituted a third day of judging on Wednesday, February 24th at the Four Seasons Resort & Club Dallas at Las Colinas with two panels of Awards of Excellence judges tasked to blind taste the nominees and select the winners of Awards of Excellence. Awards of Excellence winners demonstrate quality and unique character that are exceptional even amongst their medal-winning peers.

Corks & Crawfish Festival, April 3rd, 2- 6 pm
Join us for two great Santa Fe Venues coming together for one great festival. Pook's Crawfish Hole (http://pookscrawfishhole.com/) and Haak Winery are partnering up to put on a fun event for you.
Pookie Marceaux Band will be playing Zydeco music from 2:30 to 6:00 pm. Haak Winery will be serving award winning Haak wines and Pooks will be providing the crawfish meal.
Cover Charge: Advanced ticket price of $5 per person for ages 21 and above. Ticket price at the door will be $7 per person for ages 21 and above.

Crawfish Meal price: $10-$15 (Pook's will set the final price closer to event date when crawfish market price is finalized)
The crawfish meal will consist of 2#'s of crawfish, 1 potato and 1 corn on the cob. Please mark your calendars on 4/3/16 from 2-6 pm.
We do not allow outside food or drinks or pets. Please bring your own lawn chair as we expect a large crowd and our chairs will be on a first come, first serve basis.

Farm to Table Dinner, April 8th, 5-9 pm
We are excited to host our third Farm to Table dinner featuring 2015’s Galveston.com “Best of Galveston” Best Chef and Finalist on Food Network’s Cutthroat Kitchen, Chef Mary Bass, in her return to Haak Winery.
Our guests will feast on a Southern Inspired five course menu made from ingredients supplied by Galveston County’s finest farmers.
