' Annual Pruning & Oyster Fry Festival
Date: Saturday, January 23, 2016, 9-2 pm

Early birds will enjoy Muffins, juice and coffee from 8 to 9 am.

Come join us for our annual pruning festival. This event is free, so bring your shears and learn how to prune the vines. Fritz Westover, Viticulturist & Vineyard Consultant, will be on hand to provide a pruning demonstration and education. Don’t forget to wear your boots because it is wet in some areas of the vineyard.

Clippings are yours to take home for your own gardening or to make wreaths or other decorations. Grapevines make great grilling kindling.

Don't miss Zydeco Joe playing from 11-2 pm.

Zydeco Joseph and the H- Town players were formed with a bass guitar player, lead guitarist, drummer, scrub board player, and of course the accordian. Today Zydeco Joseph still has some of the original members who helped get him started. He also taught and added his son Joe Jr., better known as Gumbo, to the mix which he claims can out do him on the accordian. Gumbo brought to the stage a different type of flavor with his own unique accordion style. This created one of the strongest and powerful bands in Southern Texas, Zydeco Joseph and the H-town Players. Come out and dance after pruning at our Annual Pruning Day!
